She has worked with pediatrics and adults both in the inpatient and outpatient/ clinic settings. Tamika received her Master of Science degree from The University of Alabama at Birmingham in August 2020. She is an active member of The American Psychiatric Nurses Association, The American Nurses Association and is an ANCC Certified Advanced Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.

Heath is a counselor who works with IBH. The counseling process can be very helpful to those who invest in it! He has discovered three things that make therapy work: empathy, genuineness, and unconditional acceptance. Heath works with individuals, couples, adolescents, and groups. He has worked extensively with mood disorders, anxiety disorders, substance use disorders, and personality disorders. He uses a number of different approaches to help clients reach their goals and provide a forum in which they can do so. He believes strongly in values clarification and how it helps clients to learn more about themselves and how they are going to design their futures. Heath is a License Professional Counselor with 20 years of experience working in a variety of settings. He looks forward to working with you.

Stephen Bell, Ph.D.

Stephen K. Bell, Ph.D. is a licensed clinical psychologist with a child – adolescent specialty. His therapy includes primarily cognitive-behavioral approaches with technical eclecticism as needed with a strong emphasis on the therapeutic relationship. He recognizes the relationship between spirituality and psychological wellness.

Dr. Bell completed Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in accounting at Auburn in 1991, a psychology concentration at Georgia State in 1994, and a doctor of philosophy degree (Ph.D.) at The University of Memphis in 2001. He completed internship and post-doctoral training at the University of Florida Health Sciences Center.

In addition to clinical practice, he has conducted research for presentation at professional meetings and publication in pediatric psychology journals in affiliation with UAB and offers a number of public education programs. He has provided training for psychology and medical students from UF, UAB, UGA, and BSU. Dr. Bell coordinated research on Parent: Child Interaction Therapy at the UF Child Study Laboratory and often implements this approach with children ages 3 to 8 and their parents.

Dr. Bell was a member of the executive council of the Alabama Psychological Association, served as the chair for the state board of ethics on psychology, and as president of the Birmingham Regional Association of Licensed Psychologists.
