Education Opportunities: Preceptorship, Residencies, & Internships
Preceptorship
We believe that gaining practical experience in the field is a crucial part of professional development of mental health care providers. We hope to provide a fulfilling opportunity for PMHNP preceptorship students and value the opportunity to contribute to their education. While we have very few slots available & cannot guarantee placement with us, we will do our best to place you.
We have a structured system in place for student placements in which students must submit an application to be placed with us through our online form linked below. Students are welcome to apply at anytime; however, applications will only be reviewed during our enrollment windows:
- Spring Semester: Reviewed from August 1 – November 1
- Summer Semester: Reviewed from December 1 – March 1
- Fall Semester: Reviewed from April 1- July 1
- Winter Semester: Reviewed July 1- October 1
Any applications received after the enrollment window cutoff date will not be considered for that semester.

Internships
At this time, we generally do not accept internships or practicum placements for Counseling or Social Work students. Due to various logistical and clinical considerations, we are unable to offer a structured training program for these roles. Many of our patients prefer to limit the number of individuals present during their sessions, which can make it challenging to provide students with the full range of clinical experience necessary for their training.
However, in certain cases, we may consider students who have an established relationship with one of our providers, where a suitable supervisory arrangement can be made. These opportunities are extremely limited and handled on a case-by-case basis.
We truly appreciate your interest in our organization and encourage you to stay in touch. We frequently hire Licensed Independent Clinical Social Workers (LICSWs) and Licensed Professional Counselors (LPCs) and would love to connect with you about potential employment opportunities after you receive your degree. While we regret that we cannot accommodate most internship requests, we hope you find a rewarding placement that supports your career goals.
